Do you pick your skin like I used to?

Replacing the behaviour

Fidget toys

Wearing gloves

Covering mirrors

Different therapies

Just ignoring it and hoping it will go away

And let's not forget - willpower!

That's one we've tried many a time to use and each time it ultimately fails, a chunk of our confidence and self-trust gets lost in the pit of shame with us.

Personally, using willpower to "just stop" always ended in the worst relapses.

I want to let you in on a secret I discovered on my healing journey, that helped me heal and continues to help my clients heal...

Our goal isn't to eradicate skin picking.

At a healthy level, skin picking is just self grooming and doesn't cause much, if any, damage.

In fact, 99.9% of the population does it in some way, and if you hadn't noticed, all animals groom themselves too! That's why, with my clients, we focus on reducing this behaviour back down to a healthy level.

It's why my clients get results: our goal is realistic, tangible, and doesn't expect perfection from you.

My name is Raffaela Marie.

I'm a certified life coach and have been personally mentored by some of the top coaches in Australia.

In creating the STRENGTH Method, I’ve drawn from my personal experience and the insights of world-renowned experts like Gabor Maté, Dr. DiGangi, Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar, Richard Schwartz, and Brené Brown.

While originally designed to help others heal from chronic skin picking (something I personally overcame), the method also supports those struggling with other BFRBs.

My ultimate goal is to support you in becoming the most authentic, confidence, and free version of you. Healing skin picking is just a bonus.
